Hi guys!
Of course I want to start shaving a once But I've realized that is not going to happen... I'll start to learn how to hone first, just as you say, and I have bought a razor for just that purpose. I’ll be waiting for it to arrive some time next week, and then I’ll get right on honing it. And stropping of course…
Kees: Hmm, forgot to tell you to search for “rakkniv” instead of “straight razor”. If you still need a dictionary, try this on: http://lexin2.nada.kth.se/sve-eng.html
Good luck!
I still can check for old Swedish razors when I visit the antique stores around here, but I’ll need to know how much you guys are willing to pay for them…

Thanks for the info.
What we wanna pay depends for a large part on the quality of the razor.
You can check on ebay, using the advanced search feature, how much the latest razors fetched. That might give you an indication.
