Congrats on the excellent first experience. Sound like you did some good planning. These things have a way to bite back without proper respect and concentration so keep aware as you go through the next few shaves. Good luck and welcome to the madness .....
Keep your concentration high and your angles low!
Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.

Yes I did. I have been researching and reading non stop on this site. Can't believe you could find a better resource than this place and I will still go slow and I will enjoy. Thanks again. Tc

I have to tell you...you are right! I first started 30 or 35 years ago with only the advice/guidance from a retail sales clerk in a Hoffritz store. Gave it up after a few weeks.
Having come back, done exactly what you did with regard to the reading and DVD and other video watching (and having Lynn hone my 30 year old Hoffritz), I am back in the flow, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
Since then I have retired the Hoffritz for the time being and have RAD, as proven by my 3 razors from SRD and about a dozen soaps and creams, as well as two new strops and 2 new brushes. Then there's my new double edge back-up set-up.
I've bought my last cartridge!
Enjoy, and again, welcome.

Nothing like jumping back in with two feet there Haroldg....
Great job on successful 1st shave TC,
just don't let the confidence bug bite you and take it slow.
It will all get even better as you get more shaves under your belt but nicks will happen. It is just Whisker Whacking
Relax and Enjoy!
