Thread: Help with identification - Logo/familiar name

(tl;dr - Please help me Identify my razor)

Hi,
New to the forum and first post here. This place has been outstanding in taking me through the basics of cleaning blades, honing, stropping and shaving without removing too much flesh. Thank you.
I have a different kind of problem today though:
Picked up a couple of razors on eBay dirt cheap, because they looked filthy and the auction (UK only) finished at 3.30ish am! My interest was in a Ford and Medley 300 which looked promising as a nice shaver. It still does but I'm waiting for the holidays to make a start on it.
The other razor, I have been giving it a tidy off and on, and I'm starting to really like it. However, I can't identify the maker. There are tang markings on one side only, which I find difficult to read and include a logo I've not been able to find through the usual reference routes. So basically, I'd be really grateful for any ideas?

Cant help Im sorry but a post in the razor forum might get a lot more info from blokes who know their stuff.

It looks like it says 'Solingen' so it might come up OK.
Can't help with the logo though, sorry.
You might like to edit your profile and let everyone know where you are - there might be someone just around the corner who could help.

Thanks eddy79, posted in the forum I spend most of my time reading without thinking about where the knowledge base might be more suited to the question. I'll try a post over in the razor forum and see what turns up.

Thanks, it does have the Solingen mark and the blade's coming along slowly but nicely. Probably ready for a test run in a day or two.
I do need to get the profile sorted. Have the feeling there might be one or two more Brits around the forums than I thought.

Off the top of my head I can think of members in London, Wales, Newcastle, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. And there will be more out there.
