I have seen a great many complaints about that site, but the thing that made me 100% certain that vendor is not just a bad seller but an actual con artist out to steal your money was their "policies" page. This is something I have a bit of experience with. Someone went to a lawyer and asked for a disclaimer that allowed them to screw people intentionally here. No such thing, really, but that was the intention in writing this. This guy is a bad egg.

I can't see a $25.00 straight razor being any good. You will probably have to spend a little more than that.

Granted, I don't like the look of those scales, they do look cheap, but hey, it is a cheap razor.
Who would put $40 worth of etching? Not me, but it also means I am not paying up front if I don't want etching, as the vendor explained.
Is it a piece of crap brand? I don't know I never shaved with one. I will say there is a very highly respected member who has several piece of crap Gold Dollars that he has worked and he claims they are great shavers.
I am not saying that it wouldn't be better to buy from the classifieds here, but some people just don't have the $ to throw at something they aren't even sure they can use, so $25 is worth the risk to them.

Second opinion ?? Okay I got that pile of sssshhhhh t and it is worthless. I take that back, it does open letters. This vendor and IMO any vendor that sells these things is doing wet shaving a disservice I will not only boycott them but glad fully tell anyone to avoid the site like the plague. Gold Dollars get mixed reviews and that's why I will not buy one of those, however I would say it may be a perfect starter for someone else wanting to test the waters. Better be prepared to learn honing though or find someone who has had success doing it, from what I hear.

You want cheap that will work ?? 2 words > Whipped Dog :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
