So I'm the only one that strops on one foot while whistling dixie ---I thought this was common place ---what am I suppose to whistle "yankee doodle"?

Sometimes I will strop before the final pass ----especially if I think my chin and mustache fuzz is beating up the edge.

I only have two points. First Alan can't take credit for the shave with water blog because I've been saying it for a couple years now. The old timers used to do it all the time, no big deal. Second, I think when I did the stropping experiment a while back we pretty much proved that about 60x before shaving did the most good whether you broke it up before and after or 60x before or 60x after made NO difference. Also I think any quality shave ready razor should be able to last through one complete shave without stropping mid shave. I think IMHO that if you have to strop mid shave your razor is only marginally sharp and is failing mid way hence the requirement to strop mid-way.

Thanked: 1Is this the "grand experiment"? I've read a summary of it in the help files and it was very informative. I've been doing the 30x before and after for a few shaves now and seems to be working well. The only addition I've made is 15x on the linen and I don't know if that makes any difference or not.
