Thread: Hiatus

Well, I just came back to this after a long hiatus, and I was a noob when I stopped.

I now have bits of rust on my dovo, but I'm guessing a bit of metal polish will take that out? I also managed to nick my blade, so it looks like I'm going to be working on my stones to fix things.

Anyway, I managed to shave my whole face, even though I didn't get it incredibly smooth. I'll consider that a win.

I'm also recently back, from a long stint (a few years) of shaving almost entirely w/ a DE. I also had to clean some things up, which then meant going back into honing. But after a couple of weeks, I'm into better shaves than I remember from before. I'm sure it will be the same with you; welcome back to it!

I've used Maas on my blades, and it is frequently recommended here (I recall hearing that Brasso, for one example, is too abrasive). I think Ace Hardware often stocks it.
