Hi, I am really appreciative of all the advice provided here (esp Kev, Mick, Jimbo and Geoff in the local area, but not forgetting you Ed or John if you're up for a long trip), and was wondering if anyone in the Brisbane / SEQ region would be keen on a bbq meetup, perhaps at Kangaroo point? As a thank you, I would be happy to provide a carton or two of beer, salads etc, BYO meat (Im vegetarian so wouldnt supply the meat, but no probs with others eating it). Id suggest a pub, but I doubt we'd get away with turning up with honed blades lol
Just throwing the idea out there.

My participation sadly would have to be in spirit only. We keep saying we should do the same and have a meet up over here but we all seem to be lazy

Hi Eddy, that is more than understandable
If it goes ahead, we will have to get facetime or something similar going (skype etc) so we can video chat with members who can't attend but would like to meet the others. I could bring a tablet (android) or iphone (apple), Im sure someone would have an ipad or I could borrow one, and I have the necessary cellular data connection and bandwidth. Plus of course plenty of pic to upload to the forum.edhewitt likes this.
