Clauss Straight Razor
I just purchased and shaved with a restored vintage Clauss straight razor. I absolutely loved the shave it gave me. The guy that restored it (Val-The Gentlemans Den) did an amazing job with it.
I was wondering if anyone here can give me any history on my razor and opinions in general on these razors. Also they type of value it has. Since its my first razor ever I would never consider selling it. I'm just sentimental like that but would love to have an idea of value.
Any feedback appreciated.

Clauss razors are very good, hard steel. No evaluations here, but I can say not particularly valuable with exceptions of special models. Some great history beginning in post 58 in this thread: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...ow-conn-2.html
I love my Clauss razors!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 3226If the example of Clauss razor I have is indicative of the breed, they are a highly under rated/valued razor. Mine is also a terrifically good shaver. Enjoy yours.

Great to hear. Even though it was my first straight razor shave I knew i loved how my face felt afterwords. I was thinking it might be me being in the "honeymoon" stage with the razor. I look forward to many delightful shave to come.
