Thread: Razor won't stay sharp

So I have a gold dollar razor and honed it up nice and sharp. I use that and stropp and it stays sharp. My dovo OTOH dulls after a few shaves. I ruled out my shaving/stropping technique because I don't have this problem with my other razor. I looked at the edge under magnification and don't see any chips or rust. So what gives? Any suggestions? I set the bevel myself on the gold dollar and the dovo was supposably set by someone else but I figured if it was sharp at one time them the bevel must be set or is this wrong?
