    Default The Golden Whisker

Has this ever happened to you. Today was a nice 3 pass very close shave. Everything was perfect. A few minutes later I'm sitting in the den and you know the drill I start running my hand around my nice smooth face and bingo there it is. Like a palm tree in the middle of a desert. 1 yes just 1 solitary whisker that survived the thrashing. Not so much of a surprise as it happens occasionally. A small one under the nose, the jaw line or corner of the mouth but this one was different. Why?? I was right in the middle of my right cheek! Right in the middle!! How does that happen?? I mean it dodged the edge not once but 3 times!!! Has to be golden. No other explanation.

If it's that tough I'd be afraid to mess with it.. just leave it alone!

I had one like that one time! It was an ingrown that was released by the shave. It was a monster thick and pretty long. It was very strange and I check for them from time to time now.

I also had an extremely thick hair on my right cheek. Sometimes it would be shaved and sometimes it wouldn't. It was more of a bristle than a whisker.

I pulled it our and it did not come back.

Did you check your edge for any ding's that thing might have put in it?

It's a rare disease that develops from over shaving, the hairs become resistant sorta like over using antibiotic's......a new strain of hair has developed and it's resistant to sharp steel.
You might have to resort back to a Gillette fusion, you'll need 5 blades to take that puppy down
