Thanked: 1Novinaj1, congratulations on making it through your first shave. I just actually just finished my first 5 minutes ago. I got through mine without a nick, but I do have a little burn on my neck. I think I might have been fighting the grain as my hair grows in at an awkward angle.

Sounds like a good start. Enjoy the rush but don't let your early success lead you down the path of over confidence. You won't like what's at the end of that path.
Keep your concentration high and your angles low!
Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.

I'm glad to hear that it went well
Yes, the chin is a bitch. I cant say that the chin is a breeze for me yet but it gets better.

Just finished my second shave, no blood . My face is a little wind burned from that nice warm (-3 this morning, warmed up to 23) breezy day in Chicago land. So my face is a bit soar but still loving the feel of the shave.

Very nice, and congrats!! I still manage to nick myself slightly on the mustache area. What is your approach? The last time I tried XTG on that area and cut myself twice. When I go in a downwards motion I don't nick myself but I don't do as good of a job. That part is so tricky for me as I'm still new to straight razor shaving as well.
