    Default Hello all

    First of all, my apologies.
I made a post in the show and tell forum before I saw the beginners forum.

I'm just another old guy that's tired of the plastic razors. I found a more "traditional" shaving site a couple of days ago and ordered a DE razor and the stuff that normally goes along with it.
I told a friend about it, and he surprised me with some stuff he had acquired in barber school 50 years ago and still had tucked away.
I'm looking forward to learning some new old stuff.

As another "old guy", welcome to SRP. A DE is a good razor to start with. Eventually the urge to use a straight will surface and by then you will have, hopefully, read all the wikis at least once and know exactly what to do to advance your technique and enjoyment of this new, old way of shaving. Ask a lot of questions. All the members enjoy voicing their experience, answers and opinions (always in a gentlemanly manner).
