    Default Hi from Arkansas

    I received these as a gifts from my wife, a new Dovo razor, a leather strop, a badger brush, and some VHD soap for Christmas. I love my wife who listens to what I want. I started to use them just after Christmas and effectively found all the way not to shave. My interest in straight razor shaving was rekindled this past year as I had the opportunity to show my 12 year old son how to shave. while I was researching the best techniques for disposable razors shaving for him, not wanting to pass on my bad shaving habits that were based on speed. So I will devote some to learn a proper shave technique with disposable and in process with the straight. Well, I am glad I found this site and thank its owner and administrators for all the effort in producing such a wonderful resource.

    Welcome to SRP. Nice wife for doing this for you. Do you know where your razor came from and if it was made "shave ready" before being sold? You want to find this out. If not it could have an affect on your results to date.
