NecroPost - Resurrecting the, "The Noob Chronicle" by jdto
Hi - everyone new to straight shaving likes to read about the experiences of those who have gone before us. When I first started lurking on this board, like many of us do, I stumbled on this series of posts by Jack, or jdto, and as I read his progression through learning to shave, more and more I became fascinated with learning this myself.
So I thought I'd bring back this post from the past, detailing one beginners journey into the art of straight shaving.
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did, I learned a lot, and enjoyed the RAD, HAD and all the other aspects of getting into this great hobby that Jack details. As a note, if you've ever heard me mention the Revisor 8/8 razor I got from the Classifieds here, it was from Jack, jdto, so for me, it was like meeting someone I felt I'd known for a long time!
Enjoy!

@jdto is a multi-faceted, hopeless, unforgivable, relentless enabler of the best kind. He smokes a pipe, too. He got me going in the right direction with my first (and still most favored) razor, a slightly damaged Abram Brooksbank Sheffield "Edinburgh". Thanks, j.
