What do you consider a pass on the strop?
Down and back= 1
Or, down=1 and back =1?
I've always wondered this.

Like Rod said, up and back = one round trip matter of semantics but I figure starting at the handle of the strop and working toward the hardware is "up". Some guys call it a lap, I call it a round trip whether it is on a strop or on a hone.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I'm in the majority as well... Up/Back or One Round Trip = One
