    Default Introduction

Hello everyone. My name is Rough. I just changed over to straight razor shaving about a month ago and I am really enjoying the experience. Hope to get to know some of y'all through the coming months and hopefully go from NB to near expert some day.

Welcome, Rough. Sounds like you already understand you need to go slow in learning the best of shaving methods. It isn't a race and we are all winners. Hope you have read and watch all the material available in SRP wikis. Many areas to explore on the forum. And, above all, ask, ask, ask any question you have and you will get an encyclopedia of answers. Get set for an informative, educational and at times raucous time with the forum members.

Rough, if you go to the members section, on the right hand side you an search for members in your area. Just enter your location and hit search. If none come up start trying cities and towns in your area. Don't forget to just put your state in to see how many SRP members there are in Alabama. You might be surprised and it will give you a chance to find the nearest mentor to you so you can arrange a one-on-one session with him (or her). Often they will hone a razor for you for their experience while explaining the whole process as they go. Let me know how it goes.

Glad I could help. And there are many, many members in Florida. If KB Horen is near you and you contact him, say hello for me. I bought two C-MONs from him and they are among my best shavers.

Thanks for the tip Razorfeld. Had to run to town and stopped by the post office and my Norton 4000/8000 waterstones had arrived from SRD. Now to find someone in my area to get a little advice.
