You might be surprised and it will give you a chance to find the nearest mentor to you so you can arrange a one-on-one session with him (or her). Often they will hone a razor for you for their experience while explaining the whole process as they go. Let me know how it goes.

I found 2 members that are within 36 to 40 miles respectively from me. I will probably get in touch with one of them to see if I am doing everything right or not. Thanks for the advice and tip.

I'm glad you're here, Rough. I'm retiring end of April, but like you, a NB re SR shaving. Now, we'd like to get great shaves immediately. But realistically, it takes practice before we get good at anything that's worth doing. And in the case of SR shaving, this process can actually be more enjoyable than the attainment of the objective. And, as a great side benefit, you'll be sharing this common interest w/ a very fine and select group of wet shaving devotees. Enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome Jimlewis46, I have really enjoyed the swap from the disposables to the SR. I have overcome the worst of my nervousness and have gotten a little more confident in my efforts. It is a slow work in progress but anything worth doing is worth doing right.
