Hey guys I'm a barber for 18 years, glad this place is around!!
I love this place, thank everyone of you for keeping an art form going strong! At my shop, we shave around people's ears and back of the neck after EVERY haircut , so I get to use my trusty Double Duck everyday. The guy I work with is 73 and been barbering for 50 years.......he is a wealth of knowledge and a great guy. I'm thinking about carrying razor and razor supplies in the shop. ( we dont a this time) I'm thinking and array to start with, a few higher end and a few mid to lower end products. I think having a brick and mortar store will expose people to the idea that wouldn't usually research it on their own. You guys would love the shop, we have a hot lather machine, straight razors and strops. Anyway, I'm not going to get on here and ask a million questions before I do the research on the past posts and get up o speed. I just want to find out what is desired in a razor and get up to date on suppliers and the like! Thanks for having this place you guys are awesome!

We will be looking forward to hearing from you!!
One thing that will help would for you to modify your information to include where you are! There may be other straight razor users close by!!

I always look forward to sharing information and experiences with a fellow barber. Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you could teach me a thing or two. I've only been in the business for 5-6 years.

Thanked: 4827Welcome. As for the business stuff I would expect that a pivotal point pin being competitive with some of the other shops selling shave gear would be the ability to sell shave ready. I think the guys selling not shave ready are actually shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to repeat customers. My two cents.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Hey there wyobarbershop! I do also have an instructors barber license BUT the one thing I try to tell people is we can all learn a thing or two from all our fellow barbers. You have been in the biz long enough to have paid your dues!
