Thread: Dallas Texas area honing

Does anyone know where I can take a razor around the Dallas, Rockwall, Plano Texas area to get it honed? It looks like something that I will screw up if I try it myself and I would rather take it somewhere local than mail it somewhere.

I bought the the razor about two years ago and it was supposed to come already honed, but I don't think that it was. I bought it around Christmas and I know places get busy then, so no big deal. I remember even when I first had it I could see facets in the blade and thought something did not look right. But now I'm sure it is at a point now that it would need honing anyway.

I am thinking that this blade should cut as well as a disposable straight razor blade and not just do more pulling than cutting.

The razor is a Dovo 5/8 and it says "silver steel" on it.
