Wow! That's certainly a spectacular razor! The Filly's are renowned blades, and that is a nice one.

Make sure you send it out to get honed properly and made, "shave ready", I'm in Toronto and can recommend the service I use, he does an awesome job and his turnaround is quite fast.

As has been said, the factory edge, while good, is not shave ready, and if you don't get it done properly, you'll just have a frustrating experience.

Cheers and welcome to the forum!

I'd appreciate that. I need to have it honed but not sure where. Thanks.

He's got a lot of nice razors, and he was selling a couple below what I've seen Filly's going for lately, which is rare for him
At first I was skeptical that two equally sharp razors could feel different, but since owning a Filly, they certainly do have a smoothness about them that holds up to their reputation. Have it honed and go!

As for the fear thing -- a little bit of fear is probably useful. You're likely to draw blood at some point, a bit of reasonable fear might help keep it to a pint or two. Go slow and enjoy your progress, just remember the power you hold in your trembling hand.
