If money isn't an issue, I would keep both, It never hurts to have a back up. If you decided later on that you don't want two of the same razor you can easily sell or trade on of them. Send it to get honed and all is good

I would tend to agree with the majority here, keep them both if the money isnt an issue, send the KC one for honing, which will cost about the same as returning it and rebuying from elswhere. Two of the same razor will make it easier for learning as no matter which one you use the angles etc should be the same.If you decide that you really like using this particular razor you will be set for life, and if not they should be easy to resell later.

I would keep both and send the one to lynn. you can't have enough sharp razors. when I started to collect as soon as I would get one I would send it to lynn. Now that I've started to hone I still use lynns honed razors and they give me something to compare to. like another member said if you can stay at 2 razors you have more will power than I.

Thanked: 2I would keep both. I have only been straight shaving for 2 months and I already have 6, and always looking for more.

Thanked: 0thank you all for your replies and suggestions and also for confirming what i already suspected about the members of this little community.....that you're all enabling scoundrels! and god bless you for it! in the end i have decided to go with the third option and send back the KC razor and order a second from SRD. there is no restocking fee at KC and i had some free postage from stamps.com so it actually cost me less to go this route. it's funny that gugi raised the question as to whether i order the same lunch everyday, because i am that guy who orders the same thing every single time. this of course does not mean that my third, fourth, etc razors will be the same, which also means that already i am able to admit i'm not going to be able to stop at just two.
on another note, i shaved with the dovo for the first time this morning. i had every intention of following the suggestions and only shaving the sideburn area on my dominant side but things were going so well i couldn't stop myself. i ended up shaving everything except my lip and the side of my face on my weak side. i made sure to go slow and watch my angle and finished up with no cuts. does it seem odd to anyone to get so amped up over something that used to seem like such a chore? i suspect i already know the answer to this one. thanks again gents.

Thanked: 2I would put shaving off for a week until I found myself with a straight in my hand. Now I can't grow my stubble fast enough.
