My way of saying there's no need to experiment when there are so many use specific products out there.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

I know I'm kind of a beginner but I have waged war with rust for many years on my guns and knives and to my knowledge the best way to prohibit the onset of metal cancer is a $5 oil impregnated gun cloth. I figure if its good enough for my guns its good enough for my razors.
Sometimes I question my sanity, occasionally it replies.

    Agreed!

Ever since I found these silicone impregnated razor socks (which are re-purposed gun socks), that's where my razors live after a thorough drying and a dot of Tuf-Glide on the pivot area.

Where would a fellow purchase a few of those? I have put a drop of hoppes gun oil on my pivot to keep it young.

Quite a few members and some other buds I know simply bought a sock for a long gun and cut it down and had them sewn to fit.

I got mine from Mens Essentials...there's one in the States,

Grooming, Shaving, Skin Care, Lifestyle - MenEssentials

And I get them from Mens Essentials in Canada, which also ships to the States:

Grooming, Shaving, Skin Care, Lifestyle - MenEssentials

    Cheers!
