Good morning again guys. You are probably getting tired of my posts every morning but I am very excited each morning I do better with my straight razor shave. Today I was able to shave my entire face except my chin. It went very well I had to very small Nick. I am still not getting a great shave and a little stubble is still left when I am finished but it gets less every day so I am very happy
With this. Well one of these days I will stop posting everyday is just that I am very happy it is working out well. Have a great day.
RogerHave a great shave.

I, for one, am not getting tired of your posts. I love seeing people like you get on this forum and talk about their ongoing experiences, as they go from the place where most of us started, "intimidated by the thought of applying a super sharp, unprotected edge on our face" to "getting better every day". I am into this 9 months and am still getting better and learning every day.
I'm sure as you travel the road with us you'll find the same thing and pick up many tips along the way!
Have fun and enjoy yourself. It's about the journey!!

Thanked: 36Roger,
Congrats on jumping in and getting your first couple of shaves in! It will take a little time, but as long as you stick with it, the great shaves will come.
Welcome!

Just wanted to give everybody an update after now about a week and a half of shaving with a straight razor. I am doing better every day. Two days ago listening to the mustache and blade podcast one of the hosts stated he was learning how to shave with a straight razor and he said that Lynn had given him a tip because he was holding the razor very close to his face with hardly an angle at all. Well at that very moment I thought I think I'm doing the same thing. Long story short I definitely have been holding the razor almost flush with my face and not doing the proper 20 to 30 degree angle. That helped tremendously getting a better closer shave.
Thanks all for the help and still learning.
RogerHave a great shave.
