Thanked: 0Aaaannnddd... Back to square 1. Went on vacation for a week and then the next week back was crazy and i didn't have the time to put into shaving properly. So essentially 2 weeks away from SR shaving after 2-3 weeks since starting. Last nights shave was probably the worst shave yet. My hands we clumbsy and uncertain. My lather was sticky (if that even makes sense) and from a whisker removal standpoint... the cloth i wipe the blade on says i removed quite a bit, but the stubble on my face at bed time says otherwise. Either that I have developed a facial hair growing super power. Anyway, with last night i'm getting back into it so hopefully things proceed at a reasonable pace from here and i get back to great shaves.

Thanked: 0Use it or loose it I guess. I kind of stopped shaving with a straight.... kept up the hot wet shave but using cheap disposable single blade razors, at around $0.25 a piece just tossed them after a few shaves. Then this weekend I decided to get back into it, and wow.... that angle yeah apparently I don't remember how to make that happen. Went for the right side of the face ear to not quite corner of mouth above and below jaw line. I think tomorrow i will do just the right sideburn and cheek because definitely need to sort that out again.... I also think I need to start looking into local honing services or some honing equipment. I do have a balsa strop with some powdered stuff from whipped dog so will give that a go, i luckily have another shave ready razor so if i decide my original isn't quite up to snuff can use the other one instead. Anyway, just throwing my thoughts back out there. HAPPY SHAVING!!
