Thanked: 0New blade
OK so we decided to go to the local antique mall today and take a look and see if they had anything. The did, a number of names that I recognized, some I didn't. when I saw this in a case.
So I got the woman to open it up hoping that was actually what was in it because it was priced at $30
but got it open and found this.
So I bought it. It needs some work and I'd like to get new scales for it. but I would like some opinions on this please. did I get a decent deal? over all condition?Be the type of person that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, the Devil says: OH CRAP, THEY'RE UP!

Mordiem,
I don't know whether you got a good deal or not, but the ERN is an excellent German razor. Looking at your razor with the naked eye, I should say it is worth cleaning up and honing.

Thanked: 0Well I think that if it is worth cleaning up and honing and using then I would consider it a good deal. Cheaper than a new one and worth using.

I have a few Erns and they are great shavers. I wouldn't bother changing the scales just clean it up and send it for honing. Good luck
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
