Default I doing great with a DE, should I try the Feather Straight?!

    Hello
I have been doing my shaves with the DE, I got a nice Markur HD, and been puting the blades of Feather (Very sharp ones indeed)
I usually get BBS or allmost BBS, with out any irritation or nick (Well maybe a nick or two, but really nothing serious)

So, I am thinking about it, maybe I should try straight?
I thought about using the Feather club DLX witch allow my getting into straight with out need to honing and so on

    What do you think?

A straight razor and the Feather AC are different experiences even though the techniques are the same (you just use less pressure with the AC as the blades are sharper and harsher than real straight razor blades). In any case get ready for a learning curve because either way you'll have to learn proper techinque before you start getting BBS shaves without nicks/irritation. You'll be tempted to go back to your DE, but if you persevere, you'll find this to be a very rewarding experience.
