Thanked: 23My current favorite razor was < $20 on eBay but it was the first I took from dull to shave ready with no assistance. It's a 5/8 ERN Crown and Sword with a Barber's notch.

Thanked: 2284I've been lucky. When I first started I found many very nice blades for cheap at antique stores. As of lately they have been dry. My favorite as of right now is a Joseph Elliot smiling wedge that I paid $15 dollars for.
My favorite use to be my John Barber stub tail, that I paid $8 for at an antique store. It has literally no hone wear on it at all. I was very lucky that day! I don't like to use it that often because I'd like to preserve it's condition.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

That's a hard question. For those with many razors I'll bet many don't remember what they paid for them and then for those with older collections there's inflation you have to figure in and appreciation of some brands.

My two best shavers, both used/vintage, were $26 and $20. The second of the two I got by pulling at random from a box. So!
Keep your pivot dry!

I don't have my favorite yet. I have been chasing that one forever. My favorite so far: Brian Brown. I paid enough to know it's valuable but not so much that I feel bad about it. Several hundred dollars.
