My second journey into straight razor shaving
So my second shave went great. Shaved my whole face this time. Did a little better stropping noticed the razor not pulling so much. Went to a antique store and found a great shave soap holder and mug. Ordered a couple more antique razors and the lucky tiger skin care set. I should get everything next week. Also the Lynn Abram video on the modular paddle strop helped immensely. I will keep you guys posted

Welcome to an 'Older but Better' way of shaving!
It does sound that your 2nd attempt went at least 'decent'
The best counsel I can give you is to be patient! Patience is needed in every part of this age old art!
Enjoy the Ride! It's a long strange trip but well worth the journey! Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Thanked: 1184Welcome. Sounds like you doing it right. It's a cruise not a race .
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Glad things went well! Lynn and Gssixgun have videos on almost all shaving topics on YouTube.

So today s shave didn't go as well as I would of liked. Got a new ti razor but it was pulling like crazy . Felt like my face was being ripped. The new lucky tiger grooming system was amazing. I watched a couple more stropping videos and have come to the conclusion my stropping needs more practice.
