Im newly registered to this forum but not new to all the info you guys have to offer. I have gained some great knowledge off here when i did my first few wet sandings, and made my first few purchases. So i figured sign up and be a part of this community! Im still very new to a lot of this and decided to go right to souce for some great knowledge, now iv read through alot of the beginners post but im looking for some more general tips and tricks and personal experience! My most recent purchase is a 6/8 wade and butcher sheffieild barbers notch and just finished on some 200 grit wet paper. They blade is in good conditions however there isnt much of a bevel on it.( will post pictures later for better info) this is just where im at now things id like to know form your experience.
Honing tips and trick? ( hone types grits etc.)
Strops (recommended brands type block vs strap)
Wet sanding tips ( water or oils )

Welcome to SRP.
Sounds like you have some reading to do
We'll try our very best to help you out, but here is a few tips on finding the info you are looking for:
First, read thru the articles concerning your interests in our great Library found at the menu bar at the top of every page.
It's sort of a wiki, built by many of our most experienced users over several years.
Then, there are all the stickies and useful posts in the honing section and the workshop section.
Tons of great info gathered in those places
Good luck, and as said, we will try our best to answer any question you might have.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
