A brush is so much easier to clean than a cell phone which has dropped into a toilet bowl containing organic deposited mass.

Duh, just flush first and hope it doesnt overflow...phone cant fit down the drain...and if it was a bad poo just do a triple flush.

It is a tad more complicated than that if you wish to rescue the phone and return it to full operation...of course, returning the toilet to full operation is useful too, but you'd be surprised how many folks don't back up the data on their phones. Depending on the size of the device, it can go down into the sewer or the septic tank but more likely it will get solidly jammed deep inside the toilet. You may not want to try flushing a phone for fear of being entirely too successful.
