Default Lesson on generosity of members

So I get a PM about a week ago from a long-time SRP member, Sharptonn saying that I was on his list to get a shortie based on my response to his April Fool post, which I had forgotten about.

When I go the my mailbox today, there's "one of those boxes" and low and behold a shortened J.A. Henckel Twinworks 50. It is a gorgeously restored and rescaled 5/8 with about a 2 1/2 inch blade...solely thanks to his generosity.

I can't say thanks enough for Sharptonn's generosity and skill with restoration(and sense of humor to make the original post), which to me typifies the support and camaraderie that myself and all beginners get here on SRP.

Thanks Sharptonn. I'll report on the shave tomorrow, since I already shaved today

I hope you enjoy it, Harold. Thank you for the kind words. I had 5 entrants in my little contest. I will send each a shortie as they come!
They are quite fun to shave with, actually!

So I had my first shave with this little beauty today, and it was a great one. Sharptonn put a superb edge on the razor and it glided over my face. Being a bit shorter than usual really wasn't a problem, in fact it made it easier to navigate in tight spots like my lower lip and under the point of my chin. The only "nerve creator" for me was that all my other razors are round points and this one is a square point, but that too created no problems. I admit I was extra careful with where the point was relative to my ears and nose. Nary a nick or bump and a very comfortable shave! Thanks again Sharptonn!
