Thanked: 1Shave #3!
Getting better! Didn't achieve BBS but I at least shaved my whole face with less burn and no nicks! That and I can't tell if my technique is getting better or if the stropping after a shave is making the edge smoother each time. Either way, this is getting faster and easier each shave! Now if I could just figure out how to shave my head... That would be awesome. Anyone have a link to a video of SR head shaving? Also, pics of results!

Here is a thread about SR head shaving. I just completed #4 on my head this morning, just takes patience and time. Takes me about an hour to do 2 passes on my head with the straight. There's a pretty good video in that thread of a guy using a feather blade to shave his head witch is pretty helpful. Unfortunately a lot has to be done by feel since you cant see most of it, I use the fingertips of my left hand to guide the blade in some spots on the back of my head, helps to feel if I have the angle correct.

I have been thinking about shaving my head for a few weeks now, but I have not yet built up the courage to have a go! Especially around my ears!

Go for it! lol. The main reason I bought my straight was to start shaving my head, I've had it done in the past by a barber and have ever since wanted to try for myself.

If I recall correctly, Birnando & possibly Mikael have experience w/ denuding the dome. Bravo, Jim. 'Sounds corny sometimes - but it true that it keeps getting better. Enjoy.

Go for it. Once I started shaving my head with a straight in June of 2008. It took me a week to get the angles and approaches down to my comfort level. Yes I shave my head every day. I like it to look like it has been buffed with a power tool. I won't leave home unless I have a bright shiny dome. The DE's and the Mach 3 didn't quite do the job.
