I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, should I make one pass or two. Now to tell you the truth I'm not too sure in all this excitement. But being this is a freshly honed razor from Solingen Germany and capable of slicing your ear clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question. "Do I feel lucky today?" Well, do ya?!

Haroldsg48's advice was spot on. I started using a SR a few months ago and remember dealing with what I'll refer to as a blind spot which happened when I would first began the shave. Couldn't see my ear, or too much of where the blade was going as I pulled it down the side of my face. Plus your busy thinking about blade angle and positioning your fingers so you're holding it correctly to maintain control thru each stroke. After the first couple of shaves I figured out how to position myself to see exactly what I'm doing and that was a huge relief which made the entire exercise more relaxing. Keep at it and you will figure it out soon enough.
