    Default Razor size

Does a different size razor work better for a certain beard. Mine is the toughest I have seen and I am wondering if a larger blade might help my shaving troubles. I am using a Dovo 4/8ths

A properly honed blade will shave any sort of a stubble with ease, regardless of the size or grind. However, if you have tough stubble, you get more of a leeway when you use a stiffer grind (half-hollow to a wedge). The size isn't as important but some people find it easier to get a proper angle with 6/8 or larger blades.

    Default Razor gone bad

Could it be possible that the razor needs to be properly honed again because of my stropping? I am thinking of sending it out to Lynn so he can either sharpen it or return it to me. That way I will know about my technique good or bad.

Yes, that is possible. I agree though that moving up in size a little might help.

That's certainly possible and your conclusion is a good one as well. You can be more certain that way.

    Default Different razor

Well I guess I would really like to try a larger razor. Maybe a 6/8 wedge or half hollow. Also, a decent brush and cream. Any suggestions?

And there you have it. The Gentlemen's Quarter shaving soaps and creams. Worth every penny.

Also, good idea to send your razor out to Lynn. That'll give you a good idea if it's the size/grind or the stropping. Send it to him and see what the first shave results in.

Ok I'll be different get yourself a nice 7/8 blade. I find that when I let my beard grow more than a day that I get a better shave with a big boy.
