    The thickness of a wedge makes a big difference & if you have one too thin, then all you need to do is make a thicker wedge. I'ts no big deal because you can always adjust one to make the blade fit in the scales better & not go through. The guys above gave you some damn good information so there ya go, some good reference material never hurts.
