Tough Neck Acrobatics
Just finished my 7th shave - BBS except for a small area on each side of my neck.
(From another thread, I was able to do the 'French grip' to shave upward under my nose to get the area next to my nostril. Thanks guys.)
My new trouble area starts under the jaw line on both sides of my neck, from mid jaw to where the chin becomes defined, almost down to the where the neck meets the rest of the body. In all, roughly about an inch and a half wide and three inches long. The hair in these areas seem to grow at a 45 degree angle from the Adams Apple toward the ears.
I've tried shaving downward, upward, and toward the ears at a 45 degree angle. I cannot figure out how to shave at the angle from the ears to the Adams Apple. After three passes, I gave up on trying to get this area smooth. With the 3 x 5/8" blade, I cannot quite do the acrobatic wrist action to get this area.
Any thoughts?

Try pulling upwards on the cheek skin, to make the skin at the jawline the "new" cheek skin. Then a ATG pass from the ear towards the jaw, short sideways strokes. That might help, it works for me. I also use mostly the bottom 1/2" of the heel of the razor for this pass.
