I think most of us have left a blood trail on our quest to master the straight. After a couple deep cuts to various fingers and one near the jugular; still not sure how the blade ended up over there, I had to remember what I instinctively knew the first time I picked up a straight. When the blade comes out, I'm at DEFCON 3. Take a deep breath, no sudden movements and as Whimpy's razor advised him...go slow and with purposeful strokes.

Heck, if I haven't cut myself for a couple of months I do it on purpose just to remind myself of how it feels. But now, I just shave inebriated
