Thanked: 0First shave
Ok so not exactly. I used a piece of crap "shave ready" gold dollar razor twice before realizing it wasn't cutting it, literally...got the real shave ready razor from Larry at whipped dog and went to town. Full two passes wtg. Slight irritation under the chin and obviously not nearly as close as my normal wtg, xtg and xtg DE shave, but I loved it. Gonna have to put it away until next weekend just for time reasons but I already can't wait till next Saturday!

Congrats. It might take awhile for you to get shaves as good as your DE, but you should get there.
You could shave in the evening if you don't have time in the morning. Only using the straight on the weekend is going to stretch out the learning phase.

That's the way to take it....nice and slow, it's not a race and it just keeps getting better...3 months from now you probably won't remember shaving any other way or why you ever used a cartridge!

Thanked: 0Shaving is too much of a part of my morning routine to shave in the evening. It really helps me to wake up and feel refreshed. I'm ok with it taking a while to learn. It's an art and it will take time to master and I'm fine with that for sure!

Good attitude sking52. You'll learn at a pace that works for you, and I'd bet, will start using. SR for shaving almost daily much sooner than you currently expect.
