Thanked: 1excellent
I have been shaving daily with a straight for a week and a half, and I am not getting any razor-burn whatsoever. This is so good. When shaving with disposables I could only shave every 3 days or so otherwise I'd get horrendous razor-burn. I nick myself in the same spot every night, but it is a raised bump (mole), and it would always nick if I shaved with disposables anyway so it is completely expected.Sitting here with two fingers of 16yo scotch whiskey on the rocks and loving life.Cheers to all you guys (and girls) for all of the helpful posts and youtube videos. Without you all, I am sure I would have shed a lot more blood.Josh

Barbers would place their finger directly on the mole and shave around it without cutting the mole repeatedly. You might even try using it as a stretch point. Just be careful not to cut your finger, like if you are using something other than a round point.

Thanked: 10I have several moles and a scar that I nick if I am not careful. I wipe the soap off of each just before I shave around them so I can clearly see what I am doing. I still nick one now and then (got ny scar this morning) but go blood free most days. I like the idea of placing a finger on it or using them as stretch points. I will give that a try tomorrow
