Thanked: 0Hones hones everywhere
I have quietly amassed a collection of hones since starting straight shaving, and I am lost. I have;
Tam O'Shanter (courtesy of Coully)
"Inherited" Belgisher Brocken blue/white stone (think the white might be arkansas though not Belgisher Gelb - it is marbled rather then dappled, and glued onto the brocken)
Coticule (though its tiny)
I am unsure though about which are the most appropriate to use and when though. Am I right in thinking that this is the correct order of "grittiness";
Coticule (least)
Arkansas
Tam
Brocken Blue? (most)
Is this more or less correct?
Thanks
Si
