    Default Hones hones everywhere

    I have quietly amassed a collection of hones since starting straight shaving, and I am lost. I have;

    Tam O'Shanter (courtesy of Coully)
    "Inherited" Belgisher Brocken blue/white stone (think the white might be arkansas though not Belgisher Gelb - it is marbled rather then dappled, and glued onto the brocken)
    Coticule (though its tiny)

    I am unsure though about which are the most appropriate to use and when though. Am I right in thinking that this is the correct order of "grittiness";
    Coticule (least)
    Arkansas
    Tam
    Brocken Blue? (most)

    Is this more or less correct?

    Thanks

    You are correct except for the Arkansas. Since we do not know what kind of Arkansas it is we cannot say for sure.
