    Default New delivery!!

Just sharing - got another box from SRD yesterday. I now have a CrOx crayon that I've already placed on the back side of my fabric strop, and now have a complete set of stones as well (Norton 220/1k, 4k/8k, Naniwa 12k). I pulled them out last night and lapped them pretty easily with the sandpaper approach (made a nice mess though!).

This morning I ran my Ralf Aust with the CrOx strop for 6 good passes, then stropped it up as normal. Shave this morning went really well with the razor, although I should have used my soap this morning and not the Musgo cream. I really like the cream, but I normally use soap, and seem to get better lather with it (I use it more, so I'm sure it's just me). Did two passes around and had no problems with the razor pulling at all or anything, and seemed great. Pass 3/4, the cream was a little thin and had some small nicks and irritation. Still a good shave, just a bit more irritation than I am used to.

Fun part about the CrOx - the Ralf Aust was professionally honed and I've been shaving with it for about a month. As my technique has improved, the quality of the razor has declined (slightly). With the refreshed razor, felt like my technique was even better this morning as it was moving across my face easier than it has the last week or so. So, good feeling there. I'm sure tomorrow's shave with the soap will be a bit cleaner.

Step 2 - going to see about playing with my eBay razors to see about using them on the 4k/8k stones and breaking in the Naniwa.

A few swipes on CrOx once a week helped me a lot at the beginning to make up for bad stropping and bad angles. I still use it every couple of weeks.

Congrats! I just got mine today.

Just the start. Unfortunately I couldn't afford all of them at once so all I have is a 1000, 325 lapping stone and some CrOX paste.

The rest will be ordered later this month.Name: image.jpg
