Any one of those would be fine to start,,,, just spend a few hours in the library, as you wait for your razor to arrive.

any of the razors in our classified section would be O.K.,,, if you have questions, ask the seller, members here sell good products & in 4 years that I've been here, I have never heard of a scandal in the classified section.

The two razors that Rezdog is selling are both quality razors and perfect for starting.

I have recommended some of those sets in the past but I will be completely honest, I can't stand Dovo's. I had 2 honed professional and I could never get great shaves with them, only average at best. If I had to do it all over I would get my strop from SRD and I would by a vintage razor. This is all opinion and I am not an expert so take it with a grain of salt.

A little wear on the razors being sold in the classifieds is not something you need to worry about unless you feel the need for a pristine razor. The edge will be just as sharp and you can probabl score a better deal in the classifieds.

Thank you all for the advice. It sounds like buying used is the way to go. I'll start contacting sellers and find a good first razor.
