    Default newbie from san diego!

    Hello my name is Erik I live in san diego and I'm an aerospace welder/fabricator. I just got my first straight razor (thiers issard) strop, soap and brush. Im two shaves in and I love it! I know I have a lot to learn to perfect my technique but I'm obsessed with all info on straight razor shaving! I'm looking forward to learning from all the experienced individuals on this site!

    Hi and welcome. If you haven't yet check out the beginner's section in the library. Most razors from factory are not considered truly shave ready so if yours hasn't been pro honed it is advisable to do so as you will likely find it will raise the experience to a whole new level for you.
