    Default After Shaves

I've been think about getting an after shave but I don't know what would be best after shaving with a straight razor. I would like a nice masculine scent that isn't overpowering, any ideas?

I quite like Alt Innsbruck, a powdery barbershop scent with tobacco notes. Virginia tobacco apparently,

Vetiver is my wives scent choice for me. I do like the spicy notes of bay rum.

I try to use aftershaves with a smell that dissipates quickly - or at least matches a cologne. Aqua Velva ice blue and Skin Bracer seem to be the ones that I keep coming back to.

Here our local climate is dry so I don't care to use anything alcohol based.
Instead a nice scented aftershave balm does the trick.

I recently picked up a bottle of Pinaud clubman aftershave and I really like the way it smells. The fiancee really likes the bay rum aftershave that I use.

Nickayl, if you are new to straight shaving, you might want to consider a balm over a splash (lotion) which will add some needed moisture while your skin repairs itself.
