So I set the bevel on my gold dollar, honed it using the pyramid method and finished it off with a good stropping. I shaved a small part of my neck using the professionally honed razor and the other side using my Gold Dollar razor. Although the professionally honed razor felt slightly sharper the Gold Dollar wasn't to far off from being on the same level as the professionally honed razor. As for me I am pleased with myself, I was able to get a razor to shave readiness. But I must give credit where credit is due, thank you Airportcopper for letting go me know how to go about getting the job done.

    Good job!
It's difficult to approach the level of honing of someone that does it everyday.
It is also difficult not to enjoy your own honing more because, after all; you did it.

Looks like you are on the right track. Want to learn to hone start honing. Now you got it keep going and going. You can only learn by doing it repeatedly. Good luck
