    Default Graduation

    Hello everyone. Thought it was time to make a second introduction. After about 1 1/2 years of using a shavette, i have purchased two real straight razors, both vinage restored. I now have a palmer 21 and a Nos quality clauss shear razor. I have not used the clauss yet but after two shaves with the palmer, it shaves great! No regrets on leaving the shavette, but i think it taught me alot. I have found that the palmer is much easier to use than the shavette ever was. Thanks for all the usefull info i have gleaned from this site!

    I have two Palmer 21 blades and they are good shavers.

    I have seen a clauss with black scales like that one stamped USMC. I guess clauss did supply razors for the military in the WW 1 era. I grew up about ten miles from fremont, oh so it made me even more interested in clauss shear.
