My Dovo Best Quality Blond Has Changed. for the worst... the agony!!!
The Agony. This mornings shave I noticed my scales were a lot looser than normal, but didn't think too much of it. After my final rinse, this is what I saw. I just sent and email to SRD where I purchased this. Heart bleeding!!!

How did it happen? Too much pressure while stropping? Small crack to start with?

I never hold it by the scales for any reason, so I never am putting pressure on the scales during stropping or shaving. When I first unpacked the razor and opened it for the first time I thought the scales were very very tight, but figured that was normal. Over the last few days I've noticed the scales getting looser, but again I didn't think anything of it until today. I think the pin at the hinge was just too tight when it was first put together, and over time caused a crack. I can say pretty definitely that I didn't cause this by putting any unusual pressure on the scales. So bummed!

Thanked: 4942My Dovo Best Quality Blond Has Changed. for the worst... the agony!!!
I have tried to break thousands of these and the only was I have found to be successful is to use pressure holding the scales vs the tang when stropping. Nothing else has worked. It is easy to replace the scales in any case.
