Default Any Recommendations for a Straight Razor Stand

I purchased a wood stand to hold my brush and razor, but I'm not too happy with it. The slot for my brush is too small for my badger brush, and the slot on top that I thought would hold my razor is all wrong. Not long enough, and not shaped in a "V" to hold the razor securely. Are there any recommendations on a wood stand that will hold both my brush and razor? Or any decent stand that is not plastic or chrome looking.

Message Doughboy68. He makes some really nice stands.

Are we talking about for display purposes. I generally don't keep a razor on a stand in the bathroom. I have a plastic snap lid container with silica gel pacs in it. I do however have a very nice muskox horn one for display and taking razor pictures. It was made by a handy and creative gentleman right here on the forum. Well he hangs out here the stand was not made on the forum.Name: DSC_0022.jpg

There's a nice wooded stand on Amazon. You can also search for Douglas Cutlery on facebook. Click on photos and you can see some of the stands he produces.

Wow! That is awesome looking. No I didn't want this for display purposes. More for everyday storage. I never considered just a plastic container. That's a good idea. The silica gel packs are a nice touch as well. I like the idea, but I would like something nicer like a wooden container with a hinged lid and clasp. Did you purchase the silica packs, or just re-purposing some from somewhere else?

I second PMing Doughboy. He crafted a great 14 slot razor wall rack for me (should have asked him to make it a 28 slot rack).

Silica gel is one of those things I never throw out. It comes with all kinds of stuff and if it looks like it isn't doing it's thing just dry it out in the oven, at low temperature.
