    Go to the feed store and pick a bottle up. It makes styptic seem rather pleasant.

    On the whole, never had any "cuts", but have had a few good nicks from bumps etc., and I've always followed Lynn Abram's trick he posted, a dab of Polysporin or some other topical ointment, heals cleaner and much quicker.

    Not trying to be patronising but prevention is better than cure. However Sudocream
    would work very well, its antiseptic and a thick cream, I use it on cuts and scraps i get from working on building sites (its also perfect for nappy rash!). Unfortunately here in the UK most of what's been suggested you wouldn't be able to buy without a prescription.
